TUBE cover reveal!
It's here! It's done! It's ready for you to feast your eyes on and wonder what hellish hilarity it has inside! Because it has. I'm into revising Act 2 of TUBE, and I think by end of May I should be done with the whole thing.
I suppose I should ask you if you want your words to appear on the back of the back cover, as quotes. So I'm asking you. Let me know if you want to beta read the final draft and send me a quote or two. I don't guarantee that I'll pick your quote, but I might. It will be anonymous, in the section called "From readers," just like on my other books, unless you want your name listed there. Or, actually, do you think it'd be a great idea to list names? Thoughts?
Also, send feedback on the cover. Anya will be tinkering with it before doing the final final version ready for print, so if there is anything we have overlooked or could improve, we're all ears (and if you need a cover for your book, hire Anya, she'll design a cover for you that will make your readers look at it and want to swallow it whole).
To those of you who pre-ordered TUBE, thank you for your patience. This book took me the longest to write, out of all of my books. Partially because I've written myself into a dead-end in the beginning and had to rewrite it six times, partially because on this book I changed my writing process and start plotting (so I had to plot it and revise it according to the new plot), and partially because it took me this long to stop clowning around (out of fear) and finally write what this book is really about: about a woman remembering her sexual abuse that she'd repressed for fifteen years, which is of course feeding off of my own experiences, which I had to dramatize, which is a lot of work. I think it will be a very good and important book. I hope you agree.
And I hope you pre-order a copy for yourself and a friend to keep me writing (and to get me on the New York Times Best Sellers list, because that's the goal; together we can do it!)
That's all in terms of news. I'm revising (and writing) TUBE in the first half of the day, and editing for clients in the second half of the day, so my reading time is nonexistent, and I can't flounder online as much as I used to. But! I'm making money. And! I'm now doing weekly writing exercises on Patreon, so join us there. 77 patrons and growing! Soon I'll have buckets of liquid gold. Soon. Until then, back to writing TUBE I go.
