Clear out your mental space
It’s often polluted. By things. By stuff. By people.
It’s easier to clear out things and stuff than it is people, and yet your first priority is to focus on the people who drag you down and to get rid of them.
They’re polluting your creative space.
And yes, often they’re family and friends.
Remember. You’re a writer. You’ve committed to being a writer. Your work is too important, too urgent to continue letting them mess with your head and drag you into all kinds of dirt and garbage.
Get rid of them. Cut them out of your life. You’ll breathe easier, and you’ll create a clean, beautiful, and uncluttered mental space in which you can daydream. Ponder. Write. Without the toxicity and the inflammation of drama. Drama that you don’t need. Drama that’s not true. That’s inflated. That’s designed to suck you into an argument and wring you dry and hang you out for the fool that you are, and the scapegoat, and the doormat.
You’re worth more. You deserve more. You can have peace, and calm, and abundance.
Yes, it’ll hurt. But every wound hurts before it heals.
Do it for you and for all of us, because we need your stories. We want them. To connect. To not feel alone. To learn how to accept, and to empathize. And to love.
